Faculty Associate for EducationExpertise: Syria Conflict, Post-Conflict Reconstruction, Drug Trafficking
Angela Archambault is a faculty associate for education with the National Security Affairs Department at the Naval Postgraduate School. She completed her master’s degree in security studies, with a focus in post-conflict reconstruction and stabilization. Her thesis evaluated drug treatment centers in Afghanistan, looking at the socioeconomic and political challenges that arise when introducing addiction programs.
After completing her masters, Angela begun researching the Syrian conflict, primarily focusing on armed group developments, the anti-ISIS movement, civil society organizations, humanitarian aid operations, and IDP/refugee movement. In addition, she helped launch a mapping program that linked research documents to specific locations in Syria, Central Africa, and Afghanistan.
