Academic Certificates

Academic Certificates

Some master’s students may be able to study for an NSA certificate outside of their primary degree area. This may only be attempted with advance approval of the student’s primary Academic Associate, the Academic Associate for the certificate, and the NSA Program Officer. This option is normally only available to select students in 15-month and 18-month tracks whose course schedule has room for at least three general electives with which to develop a certificate course of study. Courses may not be double-counted for both degree and certificate and no overloads are permitted. Students interested in this option should discuss it with both AAs involved no later than their second quarter. A minimum GPA/GQPR of 3.5 is required for a certificate program to be approved.
