Recent Graduate Information

Final graduate documents (diploma and/or certificate) will be distributed electronically and by mail approximately 90 days after the month of graduation.  If entered in Python, students will receive an email/SMS Text from Parchment with instructions to download/share their digital credentials and when printed documents will be mailed.  Below is the status of the following graduation groups:

Jun 2021 Graduates:  Digital credentials were sent by Parchment the week of 17 September.  Students will receive an email from Parchment (in approximately 7-14 business days) when printed documents are mailed.  In the meantime, final transcripts are available through Parchment.com (opens a new browser).  

Mar 2021 Graduates:  Digital credentials were sent by Parchment the week of 22 June.  Students will receive an email from Parchment when printed documents are mailed.  In the meantime, final transcripts are available through Parchment.com (opens a new browser).

CURRENT STUDENTS

If you are a current student, you can find your unofficial transcript by using the print tool in your Python Student Folio (VPN Required).

 

ALUMNI AND FORMER STUDENTS

The Naval Postgraduate School has partnered with Parchment Exchange to process all certificate, diploma, transcript, and verification requests for a nominal fee.  See below for more details on each service and processing time.  (Please Note:  By selecting the Parchment link, you will be leaving the NPS website.)

 

Certificates and Diplomas

Final Graduation Documents

Certificates and diplomas are produced and distributed by Parchment Exchange approximately 90 days after the month of graduation.  Once graduate documents are available, a message will be sent from Parchment to the personal email address/mobile number (U.S. Only) entered in Python.  The email will provide instructions on how to download your digital documents, when printed copies will be mailed and how to share your success on social media.  To order an official copy of your transcript, see the Transcripts process below.

Replacements and Additional Copies

For replacement (lost/damaged) or additional copies of your diploma/certificate, please place your order through Parchment.com.  Requests are processed within 30 business days. 

 

Transcripts

Current students, former students, and alumni can request their official transcripts through Parchment.com.  Official transcripts can be delivered electronically and/or by mail to yourself or a third party. Requests are processed within 5 business days.  Please Note:  Non-graded courses such as Short Courses, Continuing Education and Executive Education do not appear on NPS transcripts.

Naval Nuclear Power School (NNPS) officer students who graduated 2002 or later can order their official transcripts through Parchment.com as well. For graduates prior to 2002 or Enlisted NNPS records, refer to your Joint Service Transcript for your verification record and email jst@doded.mil

Verifications

Enrollment and/or Degree Verifications are used to validate attendance dates, program of study, degrees awarded, and graduation dates.  Requestors (student/third party) may place orders for verifications through Parchment.com.  Requests are processed within 5 business days.  Please note verification requests are not accepted via phone, fax or email.

Ch. 855, Naval Postgraduate School; 10 U.S.C. 8544: Civilian teachers: number; compensation; 8545: Officers of the armed forces; enlisted members: admission; 8546: Officers of foreign countries: admission; 8549: Defense industry civilians: admission to defense product development program.

PRINCIPAL PURPOSE: To record names, addresses, ranks, and other personal information for the purposes of managing NPS IT user and student information for scheduling classes and recording of grades, etc. NOTE: Portions of records may be maintained in paper form.

ROUTINE USES: None.

DISCLOSURE: Disclosure of this information is voluntary; however, failure to provide the requested information may prevent class enrollment or provision of a user account on the Educational Research Network.
