Audiovisual (AV) Services
The Audiovisual (AV) Services office is a proud member of the ITACS Educational Technologies team, and serves the faculty, students and staff at the Naval Postgraduate School, as well as Naval Support Activity Monterey, their tenant commands, and affiliated organizations.
AV Services supports and maintains all installed audiovisual equipment in over 110 classrooms and labs across campus and several department conference rooms; our managed equipment includes all control and switching systems, projectors, microphones, amplifiers, speakers, and projection screens.
Additionally, AV Services manages AV systems in Glasgow 102 auditorium, Ingersoll 122 auditorium, Mechanical Engineers Auditorium, King Hall, the Barbara McNitt Ballroom, and the Executive Briefing Center, again to include control and switching systems, projectors, microphones, amplifiers, speakers, and projection screens.
AV Services also provides a myriad of portable equipment for NPS-supported ad hoc events, including LCD projectors and screens, podiums with microphones, wireless microphones and sound systems.
If you have an NPS login and wish to request audiovisual equipment and support for your event, please fill out the online audiovisual request form. You must log in using your NPS credentials, and you must submit a request even if you are only using the installed equipment in a conference room or auditorium.
Be sure to fill out all sections of the form, including accurate dates and times for the "Event Start" and "Event End" blocks, and all equipment requirements. If you have a need that is not covered by our standard equipment lists, please note it in either the Other Video Equipment or Other Audio Equipment texts blocks, respectively.
(Note that setting the time on the request form is difficult and not intuitive, so please just note the accurate start and end times in the Description block. Also, please ensure the date/time in the "Event Start" block is the time your welcome/admin remarks/presentations begin, and not a time where you think you want the AV to be set up. We require accurate information to ensure we can plan support for all of our customers in a timely fashion.)
Once you’ve filled out the form, hit the “Create” button to submit it.
If you are not an NPS user, please have your sponsor at NPS fill out the form in your stead. If your NPS sponsor is unable to do so, please contact Audiovisual Services at the number below and the AV staff will help you get your request processed in a timely manner.

To see your request once you’ve submitted it, go to your web browser address bar and type in “JIRA.” This will take you to the JIRA@nps page; log in with your NPS login and password. Select "NPS JIRA Service Desk" and then select "My Requests" in the top right corner. The dropdown box on the page should show "Open Requests," and you should be able to click on your ticket in the list below.
Please note that you cannot make changes to your request once you’ve submitted it; if you need to make a change, please contact Audiovisual Services, and the staff will be happy to make the changes for you.
