Summary This project will assess the accuracy of the 3-minute wrist-worn Psychomotor Vigilance Task (PVT) device. The study will focus on validating the device by comparing it with the standard computer-based PVT test. In addition, we will assess potentially confounding issues with the wrist-worn device, specifically, the effect of the backlight feature on performance, and any learning effect associated with repeated administration of the test. Validation of the 3-minute wrist-worn PVT device could result in widespread research use in field studies and potentially greater use across the DoD.
