Summary | There will be two major systems engineering analysis projects in FY15 integrated into the larger NPS Warfare Innovation Continuum titled "Warfighting in the Contested Littorals". The first, the future of maritime JSR in the contested littorals will design a fleet system of systems and concept of operations for employment of a cost effective and resilient maritime JSR system capable of collecting, fusing, and disseminating critical environmental and threat information in a contested littoral area in the 2025-2030 time frame. The second, focused on expeditionary operations in the littoral will design a fleet system of systems, concept of operations, and command and control to employ expeditionary assets in a range of missions to augment naval operations or conduct specified tasking in a contested littoral region in the 2025-2030 time frame. This project will consider manned and unmanned offensive and lift systems to execute missions of mine warfare (offensive and defensive) and up to company sized raids. |
