Summary NPS and MIIS will collaborate on research initiatives to investigate, integrate, and develop efficient mean of delivering education via distance and/or distributed learning techniques. This will include researching most recent developments in synchronous and asynchronous learning, reviewing technologies available and "fit" to each institutions individual mission. Work will include the integration and testing of the latest technologies to enhance the ability of each institution to deploy the most appropriate technology for teaching and learning. The partners will research each other's strengths to leverage a more effective integration of technologies for teaching and learning on both campuses; develop more cost-effective deployment of technologies on both campuses; and research opportunities for training faculty and staff and developing learning materials.
