Summary The objective is to conduct field testing of the prototype system iPARTS, which was developed by the MOVES Institute, Naval Postgraduate School, for ONR, TechSolutions. The Limited Operation Exercise (LOE) will take place during a 3-month period at five Naval Aviation locations identified by the Landing Signal Officer (LSO) School. The field trials will exercise the functionality of iPARTS in both Field Carrier Landing Practice (FCLP) and in carrier recovery operations. Survey instruments (questionnaires) will be filled-out by the LSO users each day. Issues of interest include the reliability of the system, ease of use, time required to input data, user interface design characteristics, utility of iPARTS for pilot debrief, ranking of the most useful features, ease of use for report generation, utility of video records, and open questions for LSO user opinions and comments.
