Summary NPS will provide technical research and analysis to the NAVSEA Port Hueneme Office of Engineering and Technology (OET) to continue FY15 research and analysis efforts, technology experimentation and detection capabilities for Counter Unmanned Air Vehicle (CUAV) detection technologies, tactics and procedures that could be deployed on Navy Surface Combatants. Efforts include researching and testing against potential CUAV sensors, and Group 1 UAV assets during test events. NPS will research potential test analysis of CUAV and related technologies for inclusion in Coastal Trident regional maritime security program. The primary objective is to identify and accelerate the introduction of advanced detection and tracking technology that extends our military advantage in a cost effective way. The scope of this research program is to provide technical, operational and program analysis expertise in support of asymmetric warfare and Naval ship protection, which will include research, development, analysis, and reporting, in support of the NAVSEA Office of Engineering and Technology program. NPS shall coordinate and collaborate with all relevant Navy, Air Force, Army and program office stakeholders to ensure effective and efficient research program execution. Technical and Program analysis support includes: Support the development and maintenance of test plans, test event analyses, evaluations, and recommendations, to ensure the technical and scientific evidence collected will support effective testing and future development efforts for the Navy and Dept of Defense.
