Summary The work to be undertaken under this project will be a new effort, in collaboration with the DLA Office of Operations Research and Resource Analysis (DORRA), to provide support on management, process, and related issues to maintain the technical vitality of DLA. For this effort, NPS seeks total funding of $587,000 (FY2014: $104,000, FY2015: $433,000 and FY2016: $50,000). The topics were developed by mutual agreement between DORRA staff and Professor Geraldo Ferrer, as proposed by NPS leading researchers.
STUDENT PROJECTS: The project team includes NPS faculty and NPS students as appropriate. The funding of $150,000 will provide support for the project team to complete seven deliverables before January 2015. During the course of the project, the principal investigator or other members of the research team will maintain a collaborative relationship with DLA Office of Operations Research and Resource Analysis staff. Professor Ferrer will coordinate with NPS faculty advisors to ensure excellence in all deliverables.
FACULTY RESEARCH: The research will be led by members of NPS faculty. The funding of $437,000 will provide the support for the project team to complete four deliverables before the end of FY 2016. During the course of the project, the principal investigator, leading research faculty or other members of the research team will maintain a collaborative relationship with DLA Office of Operations Research and Resource Analysis staff. Professor Ferrer will coordinate with NPS leading researchers to ensure excellence in all deliverables.
