Summary This project will assess the accuracy of the 3-minute writs-worn Psychomotor vigilance Task (PVT) device. The study will focus on validating the device by comparing it with the standard computer-based PVT test. In addition, we will assess various potential confounds with the device, specifically, the effect of the backlight feature on performance, the question of ambient light and any learning effect associated with the test. Validation of the 3-minute wrist-worn PVT device could result in widespread research use in field and across the Department of Defense.
