Summary The Naval Postgraduate School (NPS) provides a research-informed education program for the United States Amy Civil Affairs and Psychological Operations Command, focusing on the requisite skills identified by the Department of Defense as necessary for Civil Military Operations, Stability Operations, Counterinsurgency and Irregular Warfare (IW) operations worldwide. This program, the Stability, Security and Development in complex Operations (SSDCO) certificate is a hybrid 12 credit graduate education program conducted by the faculty of the Global Public Policy Academic Group (GPPAG) at NPS.
The SSDCO certificate combines distributed learning with an intensive in-residence phase. This format enables access to education for U.S. Army reservists. SSDCO provides U.S. Army Reserve officers and NCOs in the CA and PSYOP community an opportunity to gain specialized knowledge that is not available elsewhere.
The objective of the SSDCO graduate certificate program is to develop better understanding of stability, security and development in the global environment and enable students to more effectively operate in the civil dimension of military operations across the spectrum of conflict.
