Summary The objectives of the proposed work are to continue from the previous finding to focus on the following tasks: (1) Fluid-structure interaction effect on damage under repeated dynamic impact loading, (2) Investigation of vibrational mode shapes with fluid-structure interaction, and (3) Development of modeling and simulation techniques for design and analysis of composite structures with fluid-structure interaction. The results from this proposed work will enhance the understanding and prediction of dynamic responses and failures of polymer composite structures coupled with water. Therefore, more reliable marine composite structures can be analyzed and designed.
