Summary The CCMR-SCSEP program will conduct 1 program over 3 days to orient the 2 ABCT 1 Cavalry Division to the region in preparation for their deployment to the Republic of Korea as a subordinate Command to the Combined Forces Command (CFC). The seminar will assist the unit in preparing for theater security cooperation engagements and rehearsing training scenarios for the Foal Eagle exercises. Foal Eagle is a rear area security and stability operations, onward movement of critical assets to the forward area, special operations, ground maneuver, amphibious operations, combat air operations, maritime action group operations and counter special operations forces exercises. The 7th Fleet Naval portion of the Foal Eagle exercises take place in international waters around South Korea and features a full spectrum of maritime operations. The Navy leverages Exercise Foal eagle to validate flexible capabilities including LCS and MLP, to develop more rapid and effective responses to a wider range of potential maritime challenges. During their deployment 2 ABCT will also participate in Ulchi Freedom Guardian, Key Resolve (American-South Korean Reception, Staging, Onward movement, and Integration (RSOI) combined exercises) and the US Navy Invincible Spirit. The exercises are executed in order to conduct joint operations in response to a crisis affecting Combined Forces Command area of responsibility.
