Summary Main objective of this collaborative research is the development of design support tools and testing of Rotating Detonation Engines (RDEs) under rocket operating conditions. For RDEs to gain widespread adoption in rocket engine systems, they have to operate reliably over longer duration and over a wide range of conditions. This involves design of the injector systems, feed manifolds, sizing of the ROE, cooling mechanisms and design of the nozzle system.
