Summary Our research seeks to identify a measure that compares the internal structures similarity of large networks. This similarity measure can then quantify an attack's effect on the network or the effect of network evolution. Insight from this research may aid identification of a target or set of target nodes that will maximize the internal structure change resulting from an attack on a complex network. The research will also assist in the defense: determining which assets should be guarded to minimize the efficacy of an enemy network attack.
