Summary USSOCOM has a near term need to identify, through experimentation, the mechanisms and processes to allow scalable, responsive, robust and flexible application of ESS in support of globally distributed SOF. SOF cannot logistically sustain itself for long durations in bare-based conditions without robust combat service support and combat support element. Experiment on the mechanisms and processes to allow scalable, responsive, and flexible application of ESS capabilities in support of globally distributed SOF. Experimentation will focus on force management, allocation, and prioritization processes and policy that affect SOF support and sustainment. The LIGHTHOUSE system is to be used as a means for helping operationalize the analytic methodologies taught in the CORE lab. Its design is based on the integration of several open source and commercial software packages that are developed by a variety of organizations. The development of the data collection and analysis system will follow a four-phase approach moving from a proof of concept design to a fully developed and tested native application and GUI front-end user queries.
