Summary This effort represents three intertwined lines of effort, Technical Support & Operational Art (TSOA), Unmanned Aerial System (UAS), and Multi-tiered Segmented Structures (MtSS) Systems Intensives, focused on Operations in complex dense Urban environments. This effort is designed to enable the identification of potential vulnerabilities in emerging technologies including performance degradation in contested environments, interoperability, adaptability and training/ease of use through live and virtual experiment venues designed to improve Warfighter maneuver, survivability, and lethality in urban operations. Inform development by identifying and assessing effective Group 1 UAS Threat tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs) and emerging technologies that could create capability gaps in U.S. C-UAS systems operating in contested, congested, peer/near-peer environments and develop an understanding of operations in a dense urban environment.
This research effort will also provide direct knowledge transfer and support to multiple Department of Defense (DoD) organizations to include to the Marine Corps Warfighting Laboratory (MCWL), regarding their Counter-UAS efforts and understanding of urban operations; Naval Special Warfare Command (NSWC), regarding UAS ISR capability; Standoff Weapons Defeat - Integrated Project Team (SOWD-JIPT); Marine Corps Forces Special Operations Command (MARSOC), Naval Special Warfare Development Group (MSWDG) regarding identifying and assessing vulnerabilities in a urban environment and understanding of future operations in a dense urban environment.
