Summary | The goal is to build a Testbed system for MoCap performance capture, distributed rendering, compositing, teledirection - using SAGE OptiPortals and streaming media channels. A desired outcome is to provide a mechanism for directing MoCap performances over high-speed networks and commercial Internet as an on-going activity between NUWC, NPS and various other partners within CineGrid in support of NUWC's STEM program. Additional goals include coordinating with other NUWC and NPS vendors and providers to ensure the compatibility of systems currently being installed and for future installations, upgrades and improvements to the overall design and functionality of the NUWC and facilities to maximize its use in operations, research and collaboration both internally and externally with partners, such as Calit2. It is expected that larger, collaborative workflows and associated technology will be of lasting benefit to the partnership, enhancing capabilities to produce high quality content, conduct remote collaborative sessions, and distribute production, post-production and distribution of NUWC STEM-related media products. |
