Summary | This proposal is to investigate the dynamic modeling and attitude control of a large artificial satellite for the collection of Solar light energy and retransmission to specific locations on the Earth surface as RF energy. The very large aperture of these satellites, together with the attitude control requirements in order to maintain pointing within constraints, poses a challenge for the attitude control system. This research effort aims at results in terms of astrodynamics modeling and control strategies. |
