Summary The primary objective of the proposed work is to improve the accuracy of operational third-generation (3G) wave prediction models for continental shelf and coastal applications by developing an integrated model representation of nonlinear (quadruplet and triad) wave-wave interactions that includes a smooth transition from deep-to shallow water. We will also contribute extensive field data sets from recent ONR-funded experiments to the team effort, to facilitate a comprehensive validation of the improved modeling capability.
