Summary | This research focuses on definition and analysis of a framework utilizing a Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) approach for maritime readiness Performance/Pricing Models (PPMs). The research conducts a broad definition, via development of a systems architecture, of the models and data associated with maritime readiness analysis. The research presents an initial set of system requirements as well as definition of the relationship between constituent system models. With the specific direction to be influenced by data availability, the research develops a detailed analysis model that evaluates the performance parameters that have the largest impact on maritime readiness. In particular, the research examines the impact of alterations to processes at the Echelon III level which can be incorporated into the POM budget process at the Echelon I level. That analysis is then fed back into the system architecture to develop recommended system configurations and inform system requirements |
