Summary This research aims to explore different means of delivering bulk fuel to the High Water Mark to facilitate and sustain Marine operations. We will evaluate novel configurations of currently fielded assets and COTS assets that could be used to address this problem. We will explore different techniques, tactics, and procedures that could be used to deliver bulk fuel with these assets. This research will also identify the design and acquisition requirements for new delivery assets.
The PI will evaluate different fuel delivery concepts and systems based on their ability to support distributed operations in a way that is both resilient and economical. The PI will work closely with the sponsor to identify other key metrics when comparing different solutions.
Project deliverables will include sponsor PowerPoint briefs, written reports, and documentation relating to the proposed solution and alternatives. The written reports will include a description of the different systems or procedures under consideration, and the final project documentation will include a comparison of the different systems’ and techniques’ potential for use in distributed bulk fuel delivery.
