Summary	The Information Sciences Department at the Naval Postgraduate School (NPS) requires financial valuation expertise and expertise in Knowledge Valuation Analysis (KVA) for research being conducted regarding the acquisition process. Specifically, there is a need for research on the use of real options and KVA in the acquisitions context. Sandra Hom has coauthored a seminal work on the use of KVA to benchmark the telecommunications and consulting industries and is uniquely qualified to perform the tasks described. She also has familiarity with the real options analysis method that will be used in this research.
