Summary | This project will examine potential avenues of cooperation between the United States and India for the global partnership outlined by President George W. Bush and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on July 18, 2005. This study will: (1) explore potential areas of cooperation with India, (2) outline likely implications of such cooperation for other regional actors, (3) assess the broader costs and benefits for U.S. interests; and (4) identify possible policy responses for the United States, both to enhance the Global Partnership and to minimize potential negative consequences throughout Asia. |
