Summary | Fast and accurate wavefront reconstruction is a major technical challenge in adaptive optics. Based on some preliminary research carried out at NPS, we propose a pseudospectral approach to wavefront reconstruction that holds the potential for significantly enhancing Zemike approximation. If successful, the results of this project will have a ripple effect in considerably enhancing image quality in segmented mirror telescopes. |
