Summary | This research project, proposed to the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA), will deepen U.S. understanding of important international actors in the strategic realm and will examine Great Power Competition both directly and indirectly by deepening USG understanding of India, an important strategic partner. This project will also advance USG objectives related to improving global nuclear security and safety through collaborative efforts with Indian partners. This project seeks to conduct a series of strategic dialogues and other research projects with India to advance relations through direct engagement, create better understanding of changes to strategy and doctrine, and improve transparency. This project addresses core areas of national security interest for the US, and includes important maritime dimensions. These projects will develop over a four-year period and will involve students through thesis writing and direct participation in events and projects. All projects and sub-projects will culminate in final findings reports widely disseminated across the inter-agency (OPNAV, INDOPACOM, JS, OSD-P, State, DOE-NNSA, and DTRA), along with briefings at various stakeholder offices. |
