Summary | Optical excitation of a biased photoconductive source has been one of the most effective methods to generate broadband THz pulses. The propose of this ROPO is to review and survey any recent advances overcoming the limitations experienced by the photoconductive sources in literature; and to model and investigate the limiting mechanism of the THz photoconductive source behavior by coupling optical excitations and carrier dynamics as one step process. |
