Department | Meteorology |
Investigator(s) | Frederickson, Paul A. |
Sponsor | Space & Naval Warfare Systems Command (Navy) |
Summary | This project will enable more accurate Battlespace on Demand (BonD) Tier 2 and 3 electromagnetic (EM) and electro-optical (EO) guidance products to be provided to the U.S. warfighter through the inclusion of an improved model, algorithm and database that more realistically characterize the EM/EO propagation environment into the Oceanic and Atmospheric Master Library (OAML). The following products developed by the Naval Postgraduate School (NPS) will be submitted for inclusion in OAML: 1) The Navy Atmospheric Vertical Surface Layer Model (NAVSLaM), Ver. 1.1; 2) The Electromagnetic Ducting Climatology (EMDC) database, Ver. 1.0; 3) The Vertical Refractivity Profile Blending Algorithm (VRPBA), Ver. 1.0. |
