Summary | The scope of the program is to provide summer internship opportunities for undergraduate and graduate students in the field of acquisition, tracking, and pointing for High Energy Laser (HEL) systems, beam jitter control, and adaptive optics. The Naval Postgraduate School has developed excellent research programs in these areas in the past and several unique testbeds have been developed for these research programs. The focus of this program is to provide hands-on experience on HEL beam control technologies and testbeds, and educate prospective college students in this important area. Students participating in this internship program will also have an opportunity to present their work during the professional meetings such as the DEPS symposium. |
