Sponsor | Director Operational Test & Evaluation (DoD) |
Summary | OSD/DOT&E has oversight responsibility for, among other things, information assurance (IA) assessments of military exercises. As information and cyber operations become an integral part of the joint battle space, the need to model, analyze, and introduce vetted operational cyber scenario representations in Combatant Command (COCOM) and Service exercise becomes imperative. The Naval Postgraduate School is uniquely qualified to combine the operational experience of the student body with faculty expertise in areas related to information systems, information assurance, and test and evaluation of information systems. As one of DoD's principle corporate universities, the School is able to guide and channel this research within one of the established NPS Institutes, the Modeling, Virtual Environments, and Simulation (MOVES) Institute. |
