Summary | Previous studies by the proposed researchers have attempted to assist diversity planning and management by identifying and analyzing selected trends likely to affect military manpower and personnel issues for the future. The proposed study would replicate this previous work and focus on diversity policy implications for the Navy. Fourteen areas of interest will be examined. Using three time periods-short-term (2020), midterm (2025), and longer-term (2035)-researchers will explore the following for each of the fourteen areas: trends and projections; implications for Navy diversity; and issues for Navy diversity policy, planning, and management. Research results will be documented in a Naval Postgraduate School (NPS) technical report. |
