Fiscal Year | 2021 |
Division | Graduate School of Operational & Information Sciences |
Department | Computer Science |
Investigator(s) | Senft, Michael |
Sponsor | Office of the Under Secretary of Defense, Research and Engineering (DoD) |
Summary | This project will advance the essential artificial intelligence (AI) research needed to demonstrate an autonomous system equipped with the ability to reason and dynamically alter its defenses in response to an adversary's changing attacks. The research will develop and apply specific examples of cyber deception where the ability to dynamically and autonomously alter the deception as both a proactive and reactive defensive measure establishes a fundamental ability to become a self-securing system. This research supports development of technology options to enhance Department of Defense (DoD) capabilities in full-spectrum cyber operations leveraging Artificial Intelligence (AI) |
