Summary | This applied research is advancing state-of-the-art digital wireless communication and navigation technology for Naval Special Warfare (NSW) operations in the maritime domain. The first objective is to apply Seaweb through-water communication and networking technologies to NSW mission areas, fully leveraging capabilities already in development for other USW applications, and fostering interoperability with those systems. The second objective is to address the unique needs of the NSW community through the development of new capabilities for networked C2, brevity-code communications, near-real-time reporting, sensor telemetry with file sizes up to 2 kilobytes, ranging, localization, navigation, and other advanced functions. The third objective is to incorporate TRANSEC features into Seaweb. |
