Summary | The Naval Postgraduate School proposes to conduct a Systems Engineering feasibility study for a Just in Time Magnetic Silencing (JITMS) concept for naval surface ships. The study is motivated by the increasing sophistication of underwater threats and the increased risk present to the majority of current combatants and auxiliaries when operating in littoral zones. We will conduct a feasibility study of providing Near Advanced Degaussing Ships capability to non ADG equipped ships through the application of a Just in Time modular HTS DG silencing concept. |
