Summary	The principal investigator (PI) will support the DIRSSP mission and provide opportunities for: - Supporting high quality NPS graduate System Engineering (SE) education to enhance the capabilities of graduates to assume management and policy-making positions within the Department of Defense (DoD) acquisition and SE workforce - Conducting current research in topics related to COMNAVSEASYSCOM, DIRSSP, and other DOD/DON and national security stakeholders goals or initiatives by NPS faculty and students, to include faculty research, student theses, dissertations, and capstone projects - Supporting professional development of both faculty and students in SE and related curricula at NPS - Advising the DIRSSP and the SE department Systems Engineering Oversight Council (SEOC) on matters related to the capabilities of the NPS support structure to serve the evolving needs of graduate SE education within DON - Contributing to seminars and symposia Providing connectivity with DON/DoD commands, industry, professional and industry organizations, and universities. - Assisting in linking SE education and research at NPS to DoD requirements
