Back Analysis to Develop Total Ownership Cost for the Mark 18 Modification 2 Unmanned Underwater Vehicle (UUV) System
Fiscal Year | 2013 |
Division | Graduate School of Engineering & Applied Science |
Department | Undersea Warfare Academic Group |
Investigator(s) | Scandrett, Clyde L. |
Sponsor | Naval Explosive Ordnance Disposal Technology Division (Navy) |
Summary | Purpose is to conduct Total Ownership Cost (TOC) analysis (per guidance, this is equivalent to Life Cycle Cost Estimates (LCCE)) of the MK 18 MOD 2 UUV system. TOC is for the transition and successful integration of VSW Acoustic Color/Imaging Synthetic Aperture Sonar (SAS) as a module in the MK 18 MOD 2 UUV system. Furthermore, NPS will coordinate with NUWC Newport, who is performing a technical assessment on these new sensors for PMS 408, and with NSWC PC & SSC PAC on current life cycle support of the MK 18-2, SSAM. |
