Summary | The goal of this research proposal is to develop a safe, reliable device for destroying explosive ordnance in-situ that minimizes manufacturing cost, minimizes storage, assembly, and operational hazards. Previous research efforts have demonstrated potential effectiveness of a baseline charge against typical explosive threats based on experimental and computational investigations, and have explored approaches for further enhancing performance and safety. Secondary objectives of this proposal are focused on exploiting and further developing these liquid-explosive technologies for safe and arming applications. |
