Summary | The funds will help support the planning and execution of a technical symposium on Mines. The purpose of the symposium is to continue the examination of the potentials of emergent technologies to enhance the capabilities of the U.S. and its Allies in mining, mine countermeasures, and humanitarian demining that includes area remediation. The themes of this symposium will be technologies for Mine Warfare, Expeditionary Warfare, and Harbor Protection/Port Security. As with the eight preceding symposia, this symposium is a joint undertaking of several U.S. Government Agencies. The planned dates for the Ninth Symposium are May 17-21, 2010. |
