Summary | The work proposed here consists of the development and delivery of a short introductory course in quantum mechanics. The course will consist of 10 one hour lectures on specific topics in quantum mechanics, with the goal of establishing a foundation for non-experts to understand the basic physics of an atom interferometer. In this context, the physics of an atom interferometer and quantum computer are treated as identical. This course is intended to serve as the basis for a follow-on course in quantum computing. |
