Summary	The Maritime Patrol Reconnaissance Aircraft (P-8A Poseidon) system continues to evolve new sensors and systems to improve the effectiveness and performance of the system in its many roles. (note: Naval Air Systems Command/ PMA 290) . Primary functions include: Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW) and Anti-surface Warfare (ASuW), Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR). The Naval Postgraduate School proposes to support the program with research in sensor technology, analysis, and exploitation. NPS will also advise as appropriate in the acquisition programs associated with ISR payloads.
