Summary NPS will research the applicability of unmanned ground systems transition from DoD to homeland security, homeland defense, WMD and defense support of civil authority applications in order to determine regional capability gaps and define relevant concepts of operations under which systems might be most effectively employed in DoD Support to Civil Authorities (DSCA) missions and responses.
The 9th CA Air National Guard Civil Support Team (CST) unmanned ground vehicle Operational Roundtable will leverage the subject matter expertise and best practices of regional stakeholders across DOD and Public Safety Agencies in the use of unmanned ground systems in support of weapons of mass destruction and hazardous materials response, as well as their effective applications to all-hazards response operations. Recognizing that a regional strategy is necessary to ensure appropriate integration of the unmanned systems capabilities to existing response infrastructure, combined DOD/civil mission analysis must occur in order to identify capability gaps and determine operational needs, priorities and missions.
