Summary |
Aptima specializes in solving the problems of human performance in complex sociotechnical systems and are leaders in the design of organizations, user-centered technology and training systems that make individuals and teams more effective. The overall technical objective of the project is to further develop and validate Collaborative Assistance and Rapid Team Optimization System (CARTOS), an automated system that is capable of: Organizing ad hoc teams of people to solve a specific problem encountered by the organization, taking into account organizational structures and individual's positions in that structure; Identifying groups of people who should be in contact with each other by virtue of shared knowledge/interests, existing face-to-face communication patterns, and electronic communications patterns; Identifying new areas of organizational capability, or problem solving ability, based on the observed interests of the organization's members. |
