Summary | The Naval Postgraduate School will provide academic content for two workshops regarding Security Sector Development (SSD) as it pertains to implementing a new viable Constitution and promoting healthy Civil-Military Relations in Nepal. The workshops are sponsored by the U.S. State Department and support the on-going USPACOM-directed Asia Pacific Regional Initiative. The workshops are intended to support the U.S. Government Indo-Asia-Pacific ?Rebalance? Strategy and the USPACOM goal of enhancing stability in the region by promoting security cooperation, encouraging peaceful development, responding to contingencies, deterring aggression, and, when necessary, fighting to win. This approach is based on civil-military preparedness, partnership, and presence. |
