Summary | The scope of this Inter-agency Agreement (IA) shall encompass the NPS unique capability to participate in the development of complex technical programs from analysis to concept to prototyping to training. NPS shall initially provide technical support to the LLNL work on lead-cooled fast reactor (LFR) research, including interaction with related programs in other countries, and with international consortia. This work may extend to other advanced reactor concepts, at the discretion of LLNL. NPS PI Dr. Craig Smith, has been a key participant in this area since before his retirement from LLNL. His continued participation is essential to the U.S. maintaining a presence in the lead-cooled fast reactor community. |
