Summary	A JWAC - approved team seeks to develop a mechanism to identify regional trends or breakpoints in expressions of sentiment indicating the emergence or shifting of national or sub-national instability using open source and social media data with the intent of understanding if identified trends can be used to: 1) inform decision makers of growing instability in a region that could require the application elements of national power (Diplomatic, Information, Military and Economic) and 2) validate aspects of the human behavior algorithms and interactions of the FOCUS model.
