Summary We propose risk assessment of life cycle cost and readiness analysis, in which we examine the probability that cost will exceed a certain threshold dollar amount, and the probability that readiness falls below a certain threshold. Program managers may be critically concerned with the probability that readiness falls below a planning threshold, or that cost exceeds a given budget: they typically have less concern about the average values. This risk assessment extends (and will be incorporated into) previous work on a prototype integrative system management decision-support tool. Another enhancement will be linking depot turn-around time to other logistics factors via a model, rather than separate inputs. We will use state-of-the-art designed experiments for verification and validation (V&V) of the new features, and to identify key drivers of readiness and cost risks.
