Back Future Maritime ISR and Expeditionary Operations in the Contested Littorals Continuation

Summary This is Phase II to the Fiscal Year 15 Systems Engineering Analysis study titled "Future Maritime ISR Systems" which focused on Surface to Surface targeting in contested environments as part of the larger NPS Warfare Innovation Continuum titled "Warfighting in the Contested Littorals". The follow-on cross campus study coordinated by the Systems Engineering Analysis Cohort 23 is titled "Unmanned Systems in integrating cross domain naval fires." This effort will build upon the FY15 study by considering manned and unmanned systems in all domains to provide sufficient information to support effective tactical offensive operations by air, surface, undersea and cyber resources in a contested littoral area in the 2025-2030 time frame. It will be a more detailed analysis of how unmanned systems may contribute to cross-domain information exchange to support Navy Fires or to create an “all domain” naval integrated fire control capability to create an asymmetric warfighting advantage in a contested environment. The FY16 study will be integrated into the FY15-16 NPS Warfare Innovation Continuum titled "Creating Asymmetric Warfighting Advantages"
