Summary | The NASA Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC) is seeking flight operation support from a NASA-Approved Operator of a Twin Otter aircraft to conduct a flight campaign in 2020 in the vicinity of Grand Mesa, Colorado as part of the NASA funded SnowEx 2020 field study. Specifically, GSFC wishes to integrate their SWESARR (Snow Water Equivalent Synthetic Aperture Radar and Radiometer) instrument and the University of Washington Infra-Red cameras (UW-IR) onto the aircraft. The scope of this work by NPS is the collaboration needed to successfully integrate the NASA GSFC and UW instruments on the NPS Twin Otter aircraft, to obtain all needed airworthiness documentation and flight clearances required by NAVAIR, to assist in providing all needed airworthiness documentation required by NASA, and to conduct research flights in the vicinity of Grand Mesa, CO |
