Summary The Center for Autonomous Vehicle Research (CAVR) at the Naval Postgraduate School (NPS) will conduct multi-AUV collaborative navigation research. This will include issues associated with acoustic undersea communication between AUVs and the development of a Simultaneous Localization and Mapping (SLAM) approach that permits minimal reliance on surfacing for GPS fixes.
